City of London Churches

The original church of Saint Benet, also known as The Metropolitan Welsh Church, was constructed on the site in 1111 on Roman foundations.

The original church was destroyed during The Great Fire and was rebuilt by Sir Christopher Wren between 1677 and 1683.

The church is one of the few that escaped damage during The Second World War.
