City of London Churches


Saint Mary Aldermary dates back over nine hundred years. In 1510 a new vhurch was built on the site and said to be among the largest and finest in London.

The church was partially destroyed in The Great Fire and was rebuilt by Wren in 1682.

Saint Mary was damaged during The Second World War and has since been restored.
