City of London Churches

Some believe that Saint Alban was founded in 793 but records only date back to 930.

After falling into disrepair the building was replaced in 1634 and then totally destroyed in The Great Fire.

The church was rebuilt by Wren in 1685 only to be destroyed again in The Blitz of 1940.

The tower was restored after the war and is now a private residence.
